CONFERENCE DETAILSResponding to the Needs of Family CaregiversFriday, December 05, 2008 Shoreline Conference Center
Designed For: Nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, counselors, psychologists, physicians, case managers, and other health care professionals in all settings. As health care professionals, we often find ourselves "in the middle of it", providing care to our clients and patients while also supporting caregivers. At times, sensitive family issues arise, conflicts surface, and caregiver needs become intertwined with the needs of the individuals for whom they care. This conference presents a framework for assisting with decision-making, prioritizing services, and integrating the care of caregivers into helping individuals and families find renewed health and understanding in challenging situations. Teaching methods include lecture, discussion, handouts, and case study analysis. |
